WATERLOO, Iowa (August 2023)– Cedar Valley Medical Specialists (CVMS) has been providing world-class care throughout the Cedar Valley and surrounding area for over 25 years. As the Cedar Valley continues to grow, there has been an ongoing need for more walk-in and urgent care clinics. Cedar Valley Primary Care & Walk-In Clinic (CVPCW), led by Dr. James J. Poock, has responded to the need by expanding their Waterloo clinic hours. Cedar Valley Primary Care & Walk-In Clinic is now open seven days a week from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. The clinic offers quick, personal and thorough medical care to patients of all ages.
Not only has the walk-in clinic’s hours at the Waterloo location expanded, CVPCW has announced the opening of the new Shellsburg location. The new walk-in clinic will be located at 131 Main Street in Shellsburg, Iowa 52332. Melanie Dahlhauser, ARNP is the newest addition to the CVPCW team. “I became a provider to use my knowledge and experience to help others achieve their greatest state of health,” Melanie said. “I believe in treating the patient as a person rather than treating them as a medical issue or disease. The quality of care I provide is compassionate and evidence based. If I don’t know the answers, I will strive to find the answers through teamwork and collaboration.”
