COVID-19 CVMS Updates

United Medical Park- Effective 3-27-2020 all patients, visitors and vendors will be screened upon entry to United Medical Park in effort to enhance the safety of patients, staff and community.

Entrances will be designated as follows:

  • Entrance 1 – Respiratory illness clinic patients
  • Entrance 2 – UnityPoint Health patients with urology, lab, imaging or anticoagulation appointments
  • Entrance 4 – Badge-only access for staff
  • Entrance 6 – All Cedar Valley Medical Specialists patients

All other CVMS offices are currently opened with modified schedules, for our patient safety we will pre-screen you prior to the appointment, then screen you once you’re in the office.

You will be asked the following questions:

  • Do you have cough or shortness of breath? If yes, is this normal for you? (ie allergy, COPD, etc)
Have you had a known exposure to COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
  • Have you been out of the United States in the last 14 days or visited Washington, New York, New Jersey or California?
  • Have you visited another health facility with a positive case of COVID-19? (A person would be alerted by the IDPH or Black Hawk Co. Health Department if they had been in a facility with a Covid-19 case and were at risk, otherwise, a patient would not probably know)
  • Do you have a fever? (temp over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit)

If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions above, you will be instructed to reschedule your appointment.
